    A7 flying hardware

    Stated 'OEM'.

    No affil.

    ALTEC A7 CABINET MOUNTS ALTEC 515B 416 802 288 PAIR OEM - eBay (item 250744968501 end time Jan-18-11 10:50:39 PST)

Now, what's interesting, is that the picture used to support (no pun) the use of these in recording studios (Carole King perhaps?), does not show the mounts themselves being used! (as far as I can tell)

    Re: A7 flying hardware

I have a similar fly-kit for my 816VI. However, my cabinet has t-nuts installed from the inside. The lack of t-nuts in the 828 makes me wonder if an installer made his own fly-kit for the 828, unless maybe the t-nuts were installed onsite all the time.

I think those are home-brew, and that price is ridiculous.

All the years I sold Altec I don't remember them.

Something else I noticed, after I hit the submit button is that the pieces in the auction don't have the rounded ends like mine do.

I've thought about selling mine......... except I think the market is slim to none, so I haven't wanted to go to the trouble. I've also thought about throwing them into the recycling, but I can't bring myself to get rid of any usable Altec hardware like that. It also occurs to me that if I ever get rid of it, I'll see three sell on ebay for a small fortune........ no I don't have any hoarding tendencies

Agree with you fellas that those are homebrew. Found a good pic of the A700-SK flying hardware while surfing.
